Wolff Center Senior Adam Jhaver Continues Family Legacy of Business Ownership with Forward-Facing Consulting Company
Entrepreneurship is in Adam Jhaver’s blood.
The Bauer College management information systems senior comes from a family of entrepreneurs, and said principles of running a business have always come naturally to him. As a student in the No. 1 ranked Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship, Jhaver has put those principles to the test, while also drawing from his digital expertise.
“When I was not even 10 years old, I wanted to be a YouTuber, so I learned how to edit my own videos and create my own stories, content and brands,” Jhaver said. “That was my first experience being entrepreneurial. Later I got to college and wanted to make some money on the side, so I used the knowledge that I gained from editing YouTube videos and doing content marketing and turned it into a business of selling my services to people.”
Jhaver has continued to build on that experience to now sell digital services to other businesses, launching his brand Brilliance Digital Services while also pursuing his bachelor’s degree.
“I create video marketing content for businesses to help promote them on social media and get them to convert their format of content into modern day short-form formats,” he said.
As a Houston native, having the Wolff Center in his hometown has allowed Jhaver to start his business while being located near his friends and family, a factor he said has allowed him to excel. Despite the program’s established legacy, Jhaver credits the students, faculty and staff for its ability to continuously adapt into the future.
“The reason behind Wolff being the most successful entrepreneurship program in the country is the people,” Jhaver said. “It's not just about the businesses you create and the money you make; it's about being a person of integrity. It’s about asking yourself ‘how can you have values?’ and ‘what are your dreams?’”
As he continues to operate his own forward-facing digital business, Jhaver has found a second family of entrepreneurs within his Wolff Center cohort.
"You have 29 other students in your shoes that want the best for you, and you want the best for them,” he said. “It's a community where everyone thrives and loves each other — It's a program of love. It might not sound entrepreneurial, but it is. That’s what sets Wolff apart from everything else."
